Philips RQ1095 Shaver Review
Top Quality Shaver, 9th JanI purchased a RQ1095 as my Christmas present to me this year and have used everyday since. This is a top quality piece of kit.
I can see the recharge and transport pod being very useful when travelling. The recharge/cleaning station is quite a big piece of kit for what it does but it does do it well. After being cleaned the shaver does feel like new, though the only difference between it and running warm water through the heads is the liquid also lubricates.
In use the shaver is very much quieter than Philishaves of the past, though it's not quite as ergonomic to hold as it looks. I find myself changing my grip on the thing quite a lot when using it. The shave is close and for me, as good as a wet shave. I have wet shaved for quite a lot of years because of the razor-rash I was getting through electric shavers. I would still periodically get razor-rash through wet shaving as well, so I guess it's me.
Since I started using the RQ1095 I have had some soreness around the neck but Philips do suggest you will take a number of weeks to get used to the shaver. The rash has started to reduce, though I have started using Nivea face wash and balm as well, which is making a difference. I would recommend this to anyone with similar problems.
The quality of the shave is very good, and for me, on par with a wet shave. Time wise, it takes just as long despite the triple heads. As I've said I get some razor rash around the neck-line, though elsewhere, it's a good close shave.
Would I recommend it? Yes, as long as you get a good healthy discount. There is no way I would have paid the full £250 rrp. I paid less through Amazon and I think I pushed the boat out but it was a Christmas treat.....

HEADS ABOVE THE REST, 11th JanThe reason I have said Heads Above the Rest, is because I bought this for my husband for xmas and was a tad worried if he would be happy with his surprise present, it might have compared with a woman getting a hoover for xmas, not always the most exciting thing to be bought,
well i shouldn't have worried, he's extremely happy with his new toy and made the kids and I stand and watch it while it went through its cleaning cycle, he uses it on his head also (Heads above the Rest, get it now).I can honestly say his shave has never been as smooth,
I swear he gets a massage also from it as he sits for ages runing it around and around all over the top of his head as well as face, so in a nut shell don't read anymore just click to buy one, you won't regret it. Enjoy....

Arcitec RQ1095 Shaver Review 3
Excellent Product, 5th MarI started using Phillips shavers about 6 years ago and have had the last 2 top of the range models but this one blows them away by a mile! The blades now face inwards so it glides across your face. I was amazed just how easy and painless it was. The closest shave I have ever had with an electric razor. It's not as close as a wet shave, but its almost as good.
I am delighted I bought this. THE BEST ELECTRIC SHAVER EVER, WITHOUT A DOUBT. Shaving used to be a pain, now its a breeze. Buy it, or keep cutting yourself with razors, it's your choice.
